What means TTL modulation?
TTL stands for transistor-transistor-logic and describes a special kind of show laser modulation for laser sources. Laser sources with TTL modulation cannot be dimmed and are only able to turn the power on / off. A regulation of brightness is not achievable.
Laser sources with TTL modulation are mostly integrated in low-priced show laser systems.
Show laser displays with TTL modulated RGB color sources can display seven different colors due to color mixture.
Which colors can my TTL modulated RGB laser system display?
- white - by switching all colors on;
- red,
- green,
- blue;
- yellow by mixing red and green;
- violet by mixing red and blue;
- cyan by mixing green and blue
What is the opposite - Analog Modulation?
The opposite of TTL modulation is analog modulation: the brightness of every laser source can be adjusted.
See: Definition Analog Modulation
It is no harm to control an analog projector with a TTL signal (or vice versa).
But a TTL laser device can only display seven colors max. Therefore analog signals with fading effects will not work with TTL lasers.
