PRG Stage at Prolight+Sound 2016
Like every year PRG (Production Resource Group) presented a huge multimedia show at prolight+sound 2016 in the 'Festhalle' of the Messe Frankfurt, Germany. During the exhibition this 'Highlight Show' was shown every half hour, showcasing the quality equipment in action as well as the capabilities of PRG.
The show included conventional lighting, video projections, a sound system and powerful show laser systems.
All laser projectors used at the PRG stage were manufactured by companies of the Laserworld Group. All in all more than 400 W pure laser power was implemented, including 12 units of the brand-new show design lighting fixtures RTI NEO SIX RGB white light beam array with analog modulation and beam deflection. This array allows to creat twist and wave effects by a multitude of individual controllable single beams. The RTI NEO SIX RGB devices can be controlled through standard DMX.
RTI PIKOs, RTI NANOs, tarm Laserrays as well as a extremly powerful RTI ANGO O15 were implemented too.
The laser show was controlled by Lasergraph DSP laser control software and hardware and GrandMA2 consoles. The synchronization was made by a timecode server.
Following show laser systems were used:
Laser systems:
- 1 x RTI ANGO O15
- 2 x tarm Laserray HD
- 2 x tarm Laserray AT RGBY
- 8 x RTI PIKO RGB 18R
- 4 x RTI NANO RGB 30R
- 4 x RTI NANO RGB 22R
- 12x RTI NEO SIX RGB 2
Laser show control:
- 4 x Laseranimation Lasergraph DSP workstation
- 2 x Laseranimation Lasergraph DSP compact
- 1 x Laseranimation Lasergraph DSP travel
- 1 x MA Lighting GrandMA2
The laser show was designed and implemented by laserfabrik GmbH, a close partner of the Laserworld Group. The whole stage show was designed by Jerry P. Appelt, general show production by PRG.
